I am not virtuoso on the mandolin, but I do love the sound, the look, and the feel of this instrument in my hands. I am learning and growing in the craft of making music on the mandolin, and perhaps you are too. I created this blog to share lessons, inspiring performances, and resources but most of all to show my love for the simplicity and precision of the mandolin.
My name is Jeff Peters but I have been labeled Mandolin Pete by some musician friends, and it has stuck. I play celtic music mostly, but as usual, style do tend to overlap. I also have an interest in instrumental bluegrass and classical music. My initial exposure to mandolin was Jethro Tull (Fat Man) and Rod Stewart (Maggie May)
